The Town of Groton Police Department announces a Traffic Alert and road closures occurring Saturday, December 20, 2025 between approximately 8:30 a.m. and 10:00 a.m., in the downtown Mystic area. The alert and road closures are in conjunction with the inaugural running of the 2025 Merry Mystic Mile sponsored by Mystic Events LLC.
The road closures will only be in effect for the Mystic section of Groton as follows:
Pearl Street will be closed between West Main Street and Seahorse Lane from approximately 8:30 a.m. until the end of the run.
Grove Avenue will also be closed at Pearl Street and Seahorse.
Clift Street and Eldridge Street will also experience road closures during the run.
The Town of Groton Police Department wants to remind everyone to be vigilant and safe when traveling in the downtown Mystic area during the Merry Mystic Mile Run. We also ask for your continued support to ensure we provide a safe and fun environment for all runners, family, and spectators.
