On Wednesday, January 08, 2025, at approximately 7:51 p.m., Groton Police Officers traveled to 470 Gold Star Highway, Groton, CT to serve an active arrest warrant for Justus CLARKE. The warrant originated from this agency as a result of a previous incident investigated by Groton Police on January 2, 2025 during which an unsecured firearm was located in Justus CLARKE’s tent shelter in a wooded area off of Poquonnock Road (This land is property of the Groton Board of Education). The referenced incident is related to the arrest of his brother, Jacob Clarke, who was arrested by this agency on Friday, January 3, 2025. (SEE CORRESPONDING JACOB CLARKE NEWS RELEASE).
Officers located CLARKE at 470 Gold Star Highway and he was placed under arrest without incident. CLARKE was processed and held on a court-set $200,000.00 cash or surety bond and is scheduled to be arraigned at G. A. 10 in New London, CT today.
