The Groton Police Department facilitates CT Pistol Permit applications and fingerprinting for all Town of Groton and Groton Long Point residents only, as well as those who reside on the Groton-New London Sub Base.

Before you schedule your appointment, please ensure:
You have completed your Connecticut approved gun safety course within 24 months of your application.
Are 21 years of age or older.
Have not been convicted of a felony, or one of the 11 misdemeanor offenses as prescribed by the state.
Are a resident of the Town of Groton, Groton Long Point, or Groton Sub Base.
*Service codes for fingerprint registration will be provided upon booking your appointment.
**Residents within the Groton City borough must direct their application to the Groton City Police Department.
